ABOUT THE PARAMETER: A village gets 50 points if the sarpanch establishes a 'model government school' in the village. A school is regarded model if it is declared fit on certain parameters of cleanliness, functional infrastructure, beautification and sanitation and hygiene.

Women SHGs

CATEGORY: Women Empowerment
PARAMETER: Women SHGs

ABOUT THE PARAMETER: A village can generate up to 20 points if it demonstrates some improvements in its women SHGs. This can be through: 1) creation of new women SHGs; 2) providing basic training to existing SHG members; 3) improving financial inclusion of SHG members; 4) adherence of SHGs to recommended frameworks.

New model anganwadis

ABOUT THE PARAMETER: A village gets 40 points if the sarpanch establishes a 'model anganwadi'. An anganwadi centre is regarded model if it is declared fit on certain parameters of cleanliness, infrastructure, sanitation and hygiene.

RSETI camps

PARAMETER: RSETI camps

ABOUT THE PARAMETER: A village can generate up to 25 points if the sarpanch demonstrates some improvements in using RSETI for skill development. This can be through: 1) organizing new RSETI camps; 2) increasing membership in the camps; 3) increasing women participation; 4) increasing representation of unemployed youth.

Vachanalayas

PARAMETER: Vachanalayas

ABOUT THE PARAMETER: A sarpanch can earn up to 45 points (at once) if he/she creates Vachanlyas for men and women in the village. Bonus points are available for sustaining the library facilities and creating newer ones for women exclusively.

Soakage pits

ABOUT THE PARAMETER: A village can generate up to 140 points if it demonstrates improvements in it’s soakage pit coverage and vermi compost facilities. Evaluation of improvements can be done at the household or the entire village (community) level.

ABOUT THE PARAMETER: A sarpanch can generate 60 points straight if the village becomes polythene free. Bonus points will be available for sustaining and achieving this parameter quickly.

Immunization for new borns

PARAMETER: Immunization for new borns

ABOUT THE PARAMETER: A sarpanch can earn 40 points if his/her village is able to achieve 90%+ immunization for all children aged between 0 to 2 years. The reference period will be the duration of the competition.

Digital usage by youth

ABOUT THE PARAMETER: A village can generate up to 15 points if some improvements in digital usage amongst rural youth is demonstrated using the PMGDISHA scheme. This can be through: 1) opening new PMGDISHA centres; 2) increasing registrations and certifications of students.

PARAMETER: Innovative pilot by Sarpanch

ABOUT THE PARAMETER:This parameter is completely driven by the village sarpanch, where he/she can implement an innovative idea at the village level in the field of education, health, environment, community service or anything else. Key points to be considered by the district are: 1) originality and relevance of idea; 2) impact on implementation.
Best ideas will be recommended for district wide replication across all villages.
