The first phase of super village challenge was launched on 27th November 2018 and lasted till 15th February 2018. During this period, some of the major highlights were:
100% participation of all gram panchayats (GPs), i.e. all 260 GPs made online declarations on at least one parameter.
All 260 GPs were declared ‘Polythene free’ by the administration.
100+ new women SHGs (mobilizing 1,200+ women) were formed and financial inclusion of ~100% members was achieved.
100+ vaachanalyas for men and women were established.
100+ government schools and Anganwadi centers (combined) saw visible infrastructural improvements
5,000+ new student registrations were recorded under PMGDISHA scheme and 2,500+ digitally literate certifications for rural youth were given.
50+ entrepreneurship awareness camps (EAPs) under RSETI (Rural self-employment training institute) scheme were organized that had a cumulative participation of 2,700+ rural unemployed youth.
GPs with vaccination rate over 90% for newborn kids (0-2 years) increased from 20 to 150+
20+ foreign research students and professors (combined) from Case Western University in Ohio and UC Berkeley, California, USA visited Palwal for conducting academic research.
Sh. Krishan Pal Gujjar, MoS, Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India announced Rs 1.5 crore additional fund from MP-LAD for round 1 top performing GPs.
